Scott Morrison has confirmed to Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast the Australian Electoral Commission will extend phone voting to anyone who tested positive to COVID-19 from last Friday evening.

The AEC had said earlier a brief was approved recommending the federal government change the regulation to allow COVID-positive people from last Friday onward to use the phone voting system.

"I'm advised we've received that advice and it will be expanding to people who tested positive after 6pm last Friday," Morrison said.
