With rugby league passion fully on show ahead of this weekend's NRL exhibition at Optus Stadium, the drive to establish a WA club has reached a fever pitch once again.

The CEO of the newest team on the NRL's roster in the Dolphins, Terry Reader told Karl and Gena on 6PR Breakfast building a new NRL team is a challenge, but is fueled by passion from staff, players and supporters.

"We want to be a national competition; Perth's got to be the next town to be involved," Mr Reader said.
