Melbourne defender Harrison Petty has accepted an apology from the Brisbane Lions captain Dayne Zorko for a comment that left Petty in tears, as Zorko expressed remorse and vowed "to be a better leader".

Paddy Sweeney told Gareth Parker in their regular Sport chat about what Zorko reportedly said and that the apology doesn't go far enough.

"I'm really disappointed in Dayne Zorko and Brisbane's response," he said.

"I think Brisbane need to find a new captain next year,

"You don't want that as someone setting the standards at your football club."
