For years Mission Australia WA has been putting on free Christmas lunches around the country to help those in need.

Run by volunteers, yesterday’s lunch saw thousands of people turn up to celebrate Christmas, with Santa making a special appearance.

Mission Australia Christmas state director Sue Budalich told 6PR Breakfast the lunch is all about companionship.
