TV star Carrie Bickmore has announced the shock split from long time partner Chris Walker.

Carrie announced the split via her Instagram on Wednesday morning, saying their main goal moving forward is to co-parent their three children together.

Entertainment reporter Peter Ford told 6PR Breakfast that although the reason for the split has not been revealed, he thought it was odd for Carrie and Chris to take several months off to travel to the UK in 2022.

"I thought at the time that was an odd move and I wondered if there was any other reasoning - I don't know but we wish them well."
