Punters at Perth's Crown Casino can expect changes to how they gamble on its gaming floors after Royal Commission findings were released on Thursday.

A 1000-report concluded Crown is unsuitable to hold a gaming licence in Perth, but it can still operate at the Burswood casino.

Monash University gambling researcher Dr Charles Livingstone told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast it was interesting the Perth investigation focused on harm minimisation and problem gambling aspects. 

"In terms of providing a safer, less criminally-involved place for people to gamble, it's going to go a long way. It's a very important Royal Commission," he said.
