A man has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon after popular US comedian Dave Chappelle was attacked during an LA performance.

Entertainment reporter Peter Ford, in his daily segment on 6PR Breakfast, told Gareth Parker "some people think security overacted" when apprehending the offender but others believe "you do something dumb like that, you're gonna get a reaction".
