Federal Labor leader Anthony Albanese has told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast he hopes to be in Perth to officially launch his party's election campaign in the west next.

The Opposition Leader has been holed up at home in isolation after contracting COVID-19 on the eve of a trip west for the previously scheduled launch last week and said he hoped WA Premier Mark McGowan could join him at the rescheduled launch next Sunday.
