A Western Australian man has become the first person from the state to win first place at the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist in Queensland.

Frank Pesely performed in the competition at Coolangatta and performed in three rounds coming out on top.

The Elvis impersonator will fly to Memphis in August for Elvis Week, where he will perform at Gracelands in the 'World Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist contest' representing Australia.
