Mike Mulligan and David Haugh conducted the daily 5 at 5 segment, which began with a discussion about the life and legacy of NBA legend Kobe Bryant, who was among nine people killed in a helicopter crash Sunday morning in Calabasas, Calif. Bryant's 13-year old daughter Gianna was also killed. The guys then discussed whether the NBA should've canceled or postponed its games Sunday. Would that have been the most appropriate and ultimate tribute? The morning crew also debated how different the Bulls' future would have been in 2007 if Bryant had been traded to Chicago. The guys then discussed the news that Bulls forward Lauri Markkanen will miss four to six weeks with a pelvis injury and whether it affects their opinions of his struggles this season. Finally, the guys debated whether the Chiefs or 49ers have more staying power and which of the two Super Bowl participants will be the first to return to the championship game. (1/27/20)
