She says a group of cameras were recently set up at the intersection of Merivale and Viewmount to record data, and they were stunned at the number of collisions and close calls that played out. Meantime, trustees at Ottawa’s largest school board have approved a $1.24 billion budget, which includes $18.1 million worth of cuts. Approved by the Budget Committee last week, there wasn’t much of a debate on Tuesday night when the trustees gave the green light.
