It includes a liquified-natural-gas expansion project out of Kitimat, better known as LNG. With momentum on its side, that endeavour would double Canada’s production of liquified natural gas. Four other projects, spanning from all 3 coasts, are also being recommended for approval. It comes after years of hesitation from former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who had insisted there was no ‘business case’ to export Canadian LNG to Europe.
