In his efforts to increase American vehicle production, Trump plans to target Canada’s automotive sector, which is largely fueled by Ontario. Back in 2023, the province had signed an auto pact with the feds, meaning they would have to pay one-third of all production incentives with Volkswagen, Stellantis, and LG Energy Solution.
