Mogau Seshoene, aka The Lazy Makoti, is a trained chef and best-selling cookbook author. She left the corporate world in 2015 to pursue her love for food and to preserve South African cuisine and heritage in addition to a variety of services, including cooking classes, food styling, recipe development, and cooking demos. Mogau’s debut cookbook, The Lazy Makoti’s Guide to the Kitchen, has been a roaring success,s outselling even Jamie Oliver in South Africa to become the country’s best-selling Cookbook. Her second cookbook, Hosting With The Lazy Makoti, has won the Luxe Award for Cookbook of the year  2022 and Best Cookbook in the World at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards in Sweden this May. Mogau has since made the Forbes Africa 30 under 30s list and team banter about Travis Scott show in Johannesburg.
