5 Drive's Nadia Romanos chats to South African actor Sharlto Copley (best known for District 9, Elysium, The A-Team) about his latest film, BEAST.
Sharlto opens up about filming on location in South Africa, playing an anti-poacher, and acting with a lion that wasn't really there.
BEAST sees Idris Elba as Dr. Nate Daniels, a recently widowed husband who returns to South Africa, where he first met his wife, on a long-planned trip with their daughters to a game reserve managed by Martin Battles (Sharlto Copley), an old family friend and wildlife biologist. But what begins as a journey of healing jolts into a fearsome fight for survival when a lion, a survivor of blood-thirsty poacher, begins stalking them.
BEAST was filmed entirely in South Africa, on location in Cape Town, Limpopo and Northern Cape.
