Nadia Romanos chats to South African author, Lauren Beukes, about Shining Girls – her highly-acclaimed psychological thriller novel, which has been adapted into a TV series of the same name.
 
Shining Girls stars Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale) and Jamie Bell. It was executive produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, while Moss also executive produced and directed.
 
The series sees newspaper archivist Kirby learn that a recent murder is linked to her assault years ago, that left her in a constantly shifting reality. She teams up with a veteran reporter to understand her ever-changing present and confront her past.
