After a devastating hailstorm left 84-year-old Elva's asbestos roof riddled with holes, she was forced to sleep in an armchair surrounded by buckets.

Thanks to 4BC Morning's appeal, the Brisbane community rallied to provide free repairs, temporary patching, and a massive $10,000 donation to make her home safe again.
