The 2025 NRL season is just around the corner, and pre-season is already in full swing.

The Brisbane Broncos are drawing all the attention as Michael Maguire begins his first season with the club.

Queensland and Australian rugby league legend, Brent Tate, told Bill McDonald on 4BC Mornings, "I feel like the Broncos are right where the Cowboys were when Greenie took over. So I really do get the feeling over the next two or three years or even next year, the Bronx are going to win a comp."

"I think they'll thrive having Madge Maguire as a coach," Tate continued.
