An email from a listener last week alerted Burty to a potential invasive Oyster in our waterways.

The listener reached out to Fisheries Queensland, and it turns out it could be something called the Suminoe oyster. Like a lot of introduced species, there’s a big question around whether it’s a problem or whether it could actually be an opportunity.

Andrew Robson is the President of the Queensland Oyster Growers Association and joins Burty to dispel a few myths about this
