Every year the team at Suncorp Stadium host their annual Christmas Lunch for the lonely, disadvantaged, and homeless allowing guests to join in on the Christmas spirit.

This year will be no different with 200 guests in attendance.

Suncorp Stadium General Manager Alan Graham told Shane Doherty on 4BC Summer Drive, 'The idea is that we do a really good quality Christmas lunch for about 200-210 people from the community who need that extra support.'

'We are very fortunate that we have some great suppliers that help us out with the top quality food.'

'This is their celebration, they don't want to come along just to eat, they want to come along and enjoy the company and the celebration of Christmas,' Mr. Graham continued.

Christmas is a happy time for many, but for some, the festive season can be stressful, challenging, and isolating.

Founder and Counsellor at Better Man Counselling, David Cantarini told Shane Doherty on 4BC Summer Drive, 'it's just a really anxious time and it's anxious for people who, again, want to put on a bit of a show when they don't have the money for it or they're tough through the year and so on.'

'So we have these sometimes unrealistic expectations on us and that creates a lot of uncertainty.'

'Anxiety does try to keep us safe, but it gets in the road of us thinking straight or being proud of our behaviour or maybe we start withdrawing or we avoid people or places or things,' Cantarini said.
