A Gold Coast Bulletin columnist highlighted the Gold Coast has no nude beaches.

Australian Naturist Federation Queensland Representative, Josh Smith, told Gary Hardgrave on 4BC Drive, "We're the only state that doesn't have a legal nude beach in Australia."

"I think if we had a naturist beach in the open where everyone can see, we wouldn't have the untoward behaviour that goes on to the ones that are secluded," Mr Smith continued.
