The Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic infrastructure review has revealed a new stadium will be built at Victoria Park. 

Former Queensland Premier, Campbell Newman, told Gary Hardgrave on 4BC Drive, "The people of Brisbane have lost because 160 years ago, visionary people set aside Victoria Park, 300 acres at the time 130 hectares in the modern measurement to be a park for the people of Brisbane for all time."

"Over the last 160 years, there's been idea after idea where we've salami sliced away our park."

"Great cities need great parks, not just fantastic sporting stadiums," Mr Newman continued.
