During the 2023 festive season, South-East Queensland faced intense rainfall and flash flooding. 

Michael Craig's home was severely damaged on Christmas Day. 

Mr Craig told Gary Hardgrave on 4BC Drive, "It's been almost an entire year of trials and tribulations of dealing with insurance companies and builders and trying to get everything going and done."

"It's been very hard emotionally on us and the family...We are unbelievably excited to be finally moving back into our own home again," Mr Craig continued.
