The Queensland summer of wild weather is upon us - extreme heat juxtaposed with torrential rainfall and cyclones.
That's the reality for many people currently living in the Sunshine State, which is not living up to it's name at the moment.
With all this rain already on the ground and more severe weather on its way, it could be a soggy Christmas for many.
Deputy Commissioner Shane Chelepy told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, 'it has been quite a busy 24 hours.'
'Our SES now, during the storm season, has now done over 1,500 call-outs.'
'Last night, we saw well over 150 call-outs during the evening, and most of those call-outs are for leaky roofs,' Deputy Commissioner Chelepy said.
