Nationals Leader David Littleproud told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, "Jacinta always came to our room with an ambition that we could never satisfy."

"There was probably going to be some juncture where she was going to move over to the Liberal Party."

"Obviously, within my party ranks, there's some disappointment, severe disappointment, particularly when you work closely in the Senate, as the Senators have for the last three years."
