Not everything that grows is meant to grow straight.
Some things grow sideways, slowly, or differently—and that doesn’t make them broken.
Sometimes, the parts that make us feel “wrong” are the very things that make us strong, useful and loved.

Just like Twig.

The Quiet New Kid is a warm and gently told story about Leo, a non-verbal new student who sees the world through an artist's eyes — and the classmates who learn that kindness doesn't need words to speak volumes. A beautiful listen for little ones about inclusion, friendship, and finding your own way to connect.

A note for little readers: Some people talk with words. Some talk with pictures, signs, or smiles. The best friends are the ones who find a way to listen — whatever language that might be.

In this warm and joyful story, a boy discovers that the best adventures don't require a destination — just the willingness to step outside and begin.
