Not only did Geelong snap a 44-year premiership drought, the Cats also inflicted the biggest grand final defeat in the game's history, smashing Port Adelaide by a record 119 points.

Steve Johnson was the best player in that game.

But it could have easily never happened, with the livewire forward exiled from the club at the start of that season.
