The site of Melbourne’s iconic Skipping Girl sign will be transformed in a bid to encourage kids off social media and increase their movement. The sign’s neon lights will be turned off on Monday and replaced by a new figure of a girl scrolling on her phone. The unprecedented move, part of a Dairy Farmers campaign, comes as new YouGov research showed teenagers aged between 13 and 17 were spending about three hours a day glued to their screens rather than exercising.
