Is sleeping in on Weekends good for your health?

View descriptionShare

A European study of more than 90,000 people showed that those who had the most catch-up sleep on weekends had a nearly 20 per cent lower risk of developing heart disease than those who slept-in less.

The findings — presented at the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Congress last week — is set to gladden the hearts of weekend snoozers.

Luke Grant chats with Sleep Expert, Danny Eckert of Flinders University to find out why sleep is so important for your heart health and to get some answers to all the important slumber related questions.
