Chasta and Baby Huey sit down with Briton Bond and Cody Quistad of Wage War backstage at Aftershock to talk about their new album “Landfall” and the band’s ambitious decision to release roughly 17 songs in one year.

Wage War discusses the resurgence of metalcore and hardcore, why they believe fans are becoming interested in full albums again and why “Sweet Dreams” is a great introduction to everything the band does. They also explain why riffs will always come first, how early ’90s Metallica and Pantera have become sources of inspiration and why Wage War would rather develop its own sound than follow popular trends.
