Oleander is back — and Thomas Flowers is loving every minute of it. At Aftershock, Thomas talks about the band's Sacramento roots, their early years of nonstop touring, taking a much-needed break, and rediscovering the fun that made them want to be a band in the first place.

He also discusses adapting to the modern music business, balancing Oleander with a day job, the possibility of making music full-time again, legendary San Francisco venues, and why the band is approaching the future on their own terms. Plus, Thomas gets sentimental talking about experiencing live music from the crowd with his kids.
