Chasta and Baby Huey sit down with Pepper Keenan and Woody Weatherman of Corrosion of Conformity backstage at Aftershock to discuss the band’s new double album and the back-to-basics approach that made it one of the most enjoyable records they’ve created together. Pepper and Woody explain how they avoided writing by committee, drank some beers, wrote riffs and simply made a record they would want to listen to themselves.

The conversation takes a supernatural turn as Pepper recalls the bizarre moment surrounding Dimebag Darrell’s death and another recent experience in Berlin involving Type O Negative’s “Bloody Kisses” and a clock that seemingly began moving on its own. COC also look back on Pepper’s unforgettable performance with Metallica and Gary Rossington at the Fillmore and tease a mysterious remix, upcoming covers, live recordings and several other projects planned for 2027.
