This is a disturbing game. I think for the Bills fans. Now doesn't mean you're not gonna win the Super Bowl this year. It's fine, Detroit's next long trip and all that. But what this game represents I think rattles Bills fans cages, which is exactly what you're talking about. It is the Josh Allen what else can I possibly do?
Game? I don't think the Bills played well in this.
Game, the game of forty four points, they got a punt block. I think they were sloppy as hell. I think josh Allen was nuclear in a loss. You're not supposed to lose the game when josh An has six touchdowns, and I just I don't want to be too negative. But in five years and ten years, in thirty years, like do you look back at this era and you're like, that's what that era was about, that Josh Allen was an unbelievable player and they just never got it together. If you're watching the game, you followed this very closely, and I thought Tom Brady was all over on the broadcast. So the dynamic is Bills are down two scores. They need to get a touchdown and a field go out there. At the end of the game, they're going into the goal line. They have all three timeouts, so it's playing out well for them. Get the touchdown, you can all three timeouts, you'll get the ball back. Here's the final two places as they went out, so they call it. Josh Allen quarterback sneak up the middle against the Rams, which I hope we have and he gets stopped and Brady's falling off his chair because they have to use one of their timeouts.
And that was the game.
And I think Josh Allen knew it was the game because you're saying throw it, throw it, throw it, so if it's incomplete, you won't have to burn your timeouts. He gets stuff, they burn it. That leads him with two timeouts instead of three, and good night, Irene. That was it.
They didn't get the ball back. They didn't get to do it. And if you're watching this.
Game, you're like, the Bills are definitely winning. There's no way they're stopping Josh Allen if he gets a shot. I think it was the mismagement. I think it was a bad call. I don't like the quarterbacks. I think they just said screw it. It's almost a little bit like Dan Campbell said, let's just give it to David Montgomery.
He'll get it on fourth and inches.
And I think the Bills coaches were saying, just run Joship the biddle.
They won't stop them. They did stop him, and I think that was a mistake.
And I thought Brady was the best he's been all year saying it was a mistake. He was immediate, he was emphatic. It's one of the reasons that Bill's lost that game. And there is a little feeling amongst Bill's mafia about, like Josh doesn't always properly managed. How are we not winning every game and we have seventeen. He had six touchdowns and they still lost. It's disturbing. Doesn't mean not gonna win the Super Bowl. I just don't want to look back on that game as representative not just of this season, but of this era.
I absolutely love this Chiefs team. I love it so much. I love it.
Yes, when that kick hit the upright, I laughed out loud, so Dard because one of the most electric little junctures in any pro football game is that one second after it hits the upright, when you're like, whoa, my god, is it going in or is it going out? Of course it went in. Of course it was never going to go out. I actually had a full belly laugh. It is so funny to me how much people hate this team, how frustrated they are with this team, how annoying this team.
Related they are when the announcers go gaga. They hate all that.
Every trapping of this team just drives them crazy. And they keep doing this isn't two or three times they get luckier, whatever you want to call it. It's so awesome. Look at the statistical comparison. Don't usually go this route. This is unbelievable. Look at this this ten two thirteen, ninety four, ninety six, literally twenty first downs each and the type of possession is slught you different whatever, because you know what the Chiefs can do. The Chiefs still how to just make a play. And you have the games that are that close. It just comes down it. Pick your sport, get a clutch hit, get the runner over, knock down a free throw, or just make a play when it's right. And they always make a play. They never don't make a play. The play where he dodges that tackler or the open field hits Kelsey.
Was so awesome.
Yeah, yeah, that's an incredible individual effort. And then you say, why can't he just do that the whole game. I don't have an answer for you. The entire game. They look completely uncomfortable. They don't look like they have any flow, they have no chemistry because they don't for like three and three quarter quarters and then it happens, and you know, I'll go to the to the pro wrestling thing. It reminds me like I used to love. There was the say it would go the same way with guys like ultim Orient HAWLK. Hogan where they're losing and they're losing, they're getting to be down, and then they're about to get pinned and they Ultimore would start shaking the ropes and they'd start hitting them and hitting them.
And he'd be like, no, no, shaking the ropes. And then the finishing move, you splash and you pin them.
They just start shaking the ropes with a couple of minutes left, and it doesn't matter what the fact that the Chargers gave it to him with the.
Forty airline was so stupid. Why would they do that?
Because things just tend to happen to the Chiefs. It's my favorite Chiefs team of the dynasty. I think they're hilarious. I think it's layerus that you hate them. They're gonna continue winning.
I love it.
Which wait and see do you think it's the doink for the wind is funny? Now wait till they do it in the super Bowl, because they're going to It's awesome.
I love this team.
The Falcons are that one when when you were about to go to bed and they're like, do you want us to update overnight? And you're like, sure, go for it, and then you wake up in the morning You're like, what the hell is this?
What the mailer? Damon? I want to can I on up? I want to go back to my own phone. They're like, that's the Falcons. The Falcons beat the Buccaneers twice, they beat the Eagles. What is this team? What what happened? I thought, Okay, you hit rock bottom. It's fine.
Cousins never played worse. He's been through worse than this. Raie Morris motivational guy, energetic. This would be the day that they lift themselves back up and it was just not they showed up, but no credit for showing up. This is a team that was the first place for most of the season and it's just very, very, very bad.
And it's it's like, it's.
Almost to the extent of right now where the Eagles were going through last year, where they just died on a vine out of nowhere and they didn't have the record the Eagles did, but they had the momentum and it was like, just just sleepwalk to the division title. No one's catching you. Now it's like, I don't know if they canna win a game again.
Cousins came out hot. He was like seven and seven.
It starts gonna work to me.
This this is now the baton has been passed and this is now a Jalen hurt story. And this is why you have a franchise quarterback. This is why you pay that franchise quarterback, because now.
Here you go, what are you gonna do? What are you gonna say? How are you gonna play?
I think Jalen Hurts is someone who does not rattle, who is not emotional, who is not running to social media, who will not subtweet, He will not change avatars.
He will not shade.
Anything, and I think that is one of his best qualities is that his pulse is like that, and we have seen it for years, whether it is going toe to toe with Mahomes in the Super Bowl, whether it is getting benched in the title game in college and still coming out and celebrating with your team, whether it's when you're walking off the field in Washington and the stands collapse are almost kill you and you don't even blink. That guy is very calm and very chill, and I think that is one of his best assets, specifically on that team with that coach, in that media market. Now with these wide receivers, Jalen Hurts may not be your favorite player, but he is calm and collected. I'm not saying he lights it up every week, but he is calm and collected. And I feel like for Philadelphia there's a deja vu feeling here. And if you're watching social media yesterday, Donovan's out there chirping t O is then chirping Donovan, and it's this feels different to me because Donovan McNabb was a guy who is I am the star. I am Donovan, I am the prince that was promised. I'm gonna lead Phildelphia the Promised Land, and he's got all these little role player wide receivers and it's just fine. Well in comes too, And I don't think Donovan liked it. I don't think he handled it well. And if you ask Philadelphia Eagle fans to look back on that, Donovan was a baby and Donovan was a prima donna and blah blah blah blah couldn't take it.
I think Jalen Hurts can take it. I think he is built for it.
I think he hears this story and says, all right, I'm gonna take a deep breath and yeah, I'm gonna get AJ the ball this week because I want to win a super Bowl with him, and I know we need him to do that. But I think he is made for this moment.
I really do.
There are better passers, Definitely, there are better runners. I don't know if there's a better guy psychologically for this type of story in this market with these wide receivers than Jalen Hurts right now. I think he's going to be really good this week. I think they'll fix it with AJ. I do not think this will derail the season. I think we're actually going to get a shot this weekend of him and AJ walking off the field, jabbing each other and laughing after they beat the Pittsburgh Steelers.
I believe Jalen Hurts, I really do. I think he's made for this.
Russell Wilson is cool. He's not only good, he's cool. He has it all going on. His body language on the field is amazing. The teammates like him, the coach likes him. It's a really unlikely story, either being a year from now, a year back in the preseason when the Steelers were.
Four and two. He's really cool. He's really good. The Steelers are unbelievable.
And on a personal note, I was extremely hard on Russell Wilson on this show when he was in Denver, and I don't regret it, and I don't take it back. But I think one of the most pathetic things that people do in sports media is they pick one person who they don't like and they pick on and they just hit him and hit them and hit him, no matter what. If the person plays well, they don't talk about it, and the second the.
Person's bad again, they jump right back on it.
I absolutely detest that it happens all the time.
I would never do that.
I don't regret anything I said about Russ at the time, but I will say everything right now.
He is cool, is awesome.
I think is the best story in the NFL this year is Russell Wilson, and I don't see anybody stopping him right now, of.
Course, unless it's Phiadelphia this weekend. But Russ's not only good. Russ is cool. Bill's Lions. You're guaranteed one of them would play.
Of course, I'm sticking by this pick, and then listen, I feel great about it.
Ten to three, twelve and one.
There's concerns in Buffalo Land that teams that run the.
Ball really well could be a problem.
They lost to Baltimore, they lost to Houston runs the ball well, and then they lost to the Rams, who ran a lot. And when teams get a lean on them, which is really rare, then those teams start running and running.
And in the Rams game, Dree.
Bernard's out there, Matt Mulano is out there, these guys that they are there, their dudes in the middle, and it was not a good game from that perspective at all.
They lost, and they gave up forty four points, and you say forty four points, They're in the super Bowl. They have Alan, Yeah, I mean he's unbelievable. I love what the Lions have still, hmmm.
