Host Joe Williams speaks with Carmen Martínez Pineda, a Spanish author whose recent novel Children of Sin (Hijos del Pecado, Raspa Books) makes use of a radically non-linear structure to show how aspects of the human experience remain constant over time, regardless of the semblance of societal progress, and explores how political and social forces infiltrate the most intimate spaces of our relationships.
