By Newsbreak Producer Hoosen Ebrahim - Deputy Minister of Health Dr Sibongiseni Dhlomo has urged elderly people and those living with comorbidities to vaccinate themselves against the often deadly Respiratory syncytial (sin-SISH-uhl) virus, or RSV. Its a common respiratory virus that usually causes mild, cold-like symptoms. Most people recover in a week or two, but RSV can be serious. Dhlomo says those at high risk after contracting the flu should visit any government health facility and get themselves vaccinated or treated free of charge.
