The state's trucking industry is objecting to a tax proposal floated by U-S Senator John Cornyn.  During a Senate Finance Committee meeting this week, Cornyn tossed out the idea of a 25-cent-per-mile consumption tax on commercial trucking. 

Texas Trucking Association President John Esparza says they've discussed this issue with Senator Cornyn in the past.
