More Americans are receiving an extra fee that can range anywhere from a couple bucks to thousands of dollars. 

A new report from a non-profit advocacy group shines light on the practice, and argues consolidation is driving prices sky-high for patients.

San Francisco’s Board of Supervisors is set to vote on whether Mayor London Breed will be allowed to seek private funding to help get giant pandas to the City’s zoo. 

KCBS Radio's Shannon Golden reports, two advocacy groups have gathered over seven thousand signatures in support of canceling the plan, and they’re urging the board to follow suit.
