We're seeing protests on college campuses across the country today in support of Palestinians amid the Israel-Hamas war, one of the most notable at Columbia University where protesters have taken over an academic building. While some have prompted arrests and chaos, others have remained peaceful and constructive.

To talk about how university responses differ in these kinds of situations, KCBS Radio news anchors Margie Shafer and Eric Thomas spoke to David Primo, political science professor at the University of Rochester, in today's Ask An Expert segment. He's an expert on free speech on college campuses and teaches the course "Disagreement in a Democratic Society."
