Settlers set up tent to push for annexation

View descriptionShare

The Yesha Settlers' Council has pitched a tent outside the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem to demand “sovereignty now.”

Yesha Council officials said that the tent—which has been dubbed the “sovereignty tent” — should not be viewed as a protest but, rather, should be viewed as expressing support for PM Netanyahu, in addition to being a means of pressure on him to apply sovereignty.

The move came after optimism of a speedy decision to apply sovereignty to settlements along with the Jordan Valley appeared to be fading following opposition from Trump administration officials.

KAN's Mark Weiss spoke with Oded Revivi, the head of the Yesha Council foreign desk.
