Stats SA releases general household survey

South Africa (SA)'s general household survey, released by statistics SA, shows that the percentage of households living in informal settlements has experienced slight variations since 2002, with a marginal decrease from 13-point-zero percent to 12-point-2 percent. Conversely, there has been an increase in the proportion of households residing in formal dwellings, rising from 73-point-5 percent in 2002 to over 83-point-5 percent presently. Additionally, Statistics SA highlights substantial advancements in sanitation access across the country since 2002.
