Foreign exhibitors from 27 countries are participating in the 64th edition of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF). At the trade fair there are also over  40 exhibitors from China, who are showcasing products made in Zimbabwe and China. The fair's theme for this year is  "Innovation: the catalyst to industrialization and trade". The ZITF  offer a platfrom for trade and investment which offers opportunities for local and international businesses to explore business partnerships.

Kenya and the United Republic of Tanzania have successfully addressed longstanding concerns regarding the export of poultry and poultry products between them following a two-day meeting at the East African Community headquarters in Arusha, Tanzania.

Kenya, historically a significant exporter of poultry and poultry-related products to Tanzania, faced challenges after Tanzania imposed a ban on poultry imports from Kenya in 2021 due to the global outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI).

The meeting, convened between 29-30 April, 2024, brought together veterinary authorities from both countries to address the ban on the export of poultry and poultry products from Kenya to Tanzania.

To discuss this further is Dr. Wicliffe Anyango Finance and economics lecturer at Zetech University in Kenya....

Nigeria's major cities have been faced with fuel shortages, causing a sharp increase in prices. Prices in some retail outlets in Lagos and Abuja rose above 850 naira (0,61 dollars) and government-owned oil firm, NNPC Ltd, which imports the products sells at an average price of 617 naira (0,44 dollars).

Households and small businesses use power generators and the current fuel shortage is weighing on the economy, which is already struggling with the highest inflation rate in 28 years.
