Models were inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame 2010 and won the Countdown Music Awards Best Single 1985 and Mark Opitz Producer of the Year 1987 for “Models Media” album. They have had 12 charting singles including #1 hit Out of Mind, Out of Sight" and 5 charting studio albums, 4 EPs as well as 2 live albums and 3 compilation albums. When they formed, Models were hailed as one of the most innovative and imaginative Australian bands. Four decades later, nothing has changed.

Mark Ferrie, beside playing bass with The Models had been the bass player for the SBS Rock Wiz TV Show, popular session musician, solo performer, film and video soundtrack composer and producer, founder of the independent record label Greasy Pole Records and graphic artist providing covers for numerous albums and had done layout for the Rhythms magazine.

The album “Models Live at the Overlander Hotel 1980”.was recorded by sound engineer Mark Woods. The album sales are fund raising for the Australian Road Crew Association (ARCA), a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to helping ROADIES during hard times and serious illness through their welfare program. Many artists have generously given their permission for the release of the roadie’s desk tapes of their live performances that make up a diverse collection of some truly unique historical releases.
